Hey all, I’m back. I’m sure you’re wondering what happened after that, so I’ll get straight to that. Okay, here we go.
When I awoke, I felt someone stroking my hair. Gently… like how my mother had sometimes when I was little. Not that she did it anymore… anyways. I opened my eyes and stared up into the pure white eyes of the woman from the night before. Her eyes were shrouded in black smoke and her lips were painted red. A dark blush lined the gaunt hollows of her cheeks, giving her an almost hungry look. She smiled gently as she pushed a lock of pale blonde hair out of her face and looked up at the other man in the corner. The man from the previous night. His angered, almost annoyed gaze shifted from her to me, then back to her. He walked forward, adjusting his hoody.
“Jessamine. This is to much. She’s too young to join us. She’s eighteen for fucks sake!” He snarled. My blood ran cold when I saw his teeth full on. Pure white fangs. I suddenly leapt up, pulling the covers closer to me. The one known as Jessamine made a noise as she turned to the other vampire.
“Jason… You’ve frightened your sister!” She yowled as she stepped towards him, baring her teeth as she snarled and snapped at him. Jason glared at her as he too went into a similar position.
“I will never accept that… thing as my sister!” He shouted. Jessamine’s eyes suddenly went crazy as she lunged at him, slapping him full force across the face. Four long claw marks sliced through Jason’s face, blood dripping from them. He turned back to Jessamine as the wounds healed. He looked over to me, then back to Jessamine. He barred his fangs one more time, then turned away, exiting the room. Jessamine let out a low growl as she watched him exit, then eyed me. She sighed, pushing a lock of hair back then walking forward towards me. I trembled in the bed, unsure of what was going on. Jessamine frowned sitting down next to me.
“I’m sorry, my daughter. I shouldn’t have scared you like that.” She said gently. I would have protested, normally. But at this point I was to frightened to say anything. Jessamine sighed, pushing a lock of hair back again. She searched me over.
“My god, you’re so beautiful…” She muttered, staring straight into my eyes. I stared back in fear. She sighed, standing up and beginning to pace.
“You can’t become one of us yet… you should spend at least a year learning first. I’ve already given you some of my blood, so you are a halfer at the moment.” She explained. I shook my head, finally speaking.
“A halfer? A halfer what?” I said softly. She continued her pace, then looked over to me.
“And you won’t be able to return home. Ever again. You will have to live here. You can earn your keep by doing chores for me. Jason will accompany you because he can walk in daylight if he wears enough clothing and is careful. Perfect.” She said calmly. I shook my head.
“What are you talking about? What’s going on?” I asked. Jessamine sighed, suddenly by my side as she gripped my hand. She lead me to the mirror, pointing to it.
“My dear. You wouldn’t be accepted by normal society like this.” She stated. I froze, staring at myself in disbelief. My hair had suddenly become black and perfect, and my eyes were almost pure white. They would have been white, had there not been a tinge of blue shining through. I grinned, but no fangs showed. I sighed in relief. That would have been worse. I held up my pale hands as red tears fell down my cheeks. I touched one gently. I looked up at her.
“What the… what the fuck have you done to me?” I asked. Jessamine shook her head.
“Oh Ryder… I’ve been watching you for awhile… You’re now my daughter. Ryder March Vondescure.” She said happily, hugging me. I pushed away, staring up at her.
“What the fuck am I?” I snarled. A look of anger crossed Jessamine’s face, but quickly settled.
“Ryder. You do not act like that in my household.” She snarled.
“What the fuck am I?” I screamed. Jessamine froze, surprised by my sudden outburst. She looked back in the mirror.
“Isn’t obvious? We are vampires. And you’re our halfer daughter. Until you can earn your place.” She said gently before exiting the room. I just stared at myself as more tears of blood fell down. Where had I gone wrong?
Thats all for tonight... I'll talk to you guys later...
-Ryder March Vondescure
